About the Book:
Reclaim Your Heart is not just a self-help book. It is a manual about the journey of the heart in and out of the ocean of this life. It is a book about how to keep your heart from sinking to the depths of that ocean, and what to do when it does. It is a book about redemption, about hope, about renewal. Every heart can heal, and each moment is created to bring us closer to that transformative return. Reclaim Your Heart is about finding that moment when everything stops and suddenly looks different. It is about finding your own awakening. And then returning to the better, truer, and freer version of yourself. Many of us live our lives, entrapped by the same repeated patterns of heartbreak and disappointment. Many of us have no idea why this happens. Reclaim Your Heart is about freeing the heart from this slavery. It is about the journey in an out of life’s most deceptive traps. This book was written to awaken the heart and provide a new perspective on love, loss, happiness, and pain. Providing a manual of sorts, Reclaim Your Heart will teach readers how to live in this life without allowing life to own you. It is a manual of how to protect your most prized possession: the heart.

“The words in this book are not meagre words, they are words that have the ability to elicit tears, tears which come from knowing and recognizing the truth and then attempting to find this truth within yourself.”
–Muslim Women Exposed, 01/2014

“SubhanAllah! This book speaks to your heart in a way that few things do! She addresses the most sacred connection, our entire reason for existence (to worship Allah) in simple uncomplicated terms that are easy for the Muslim and non Muslim reader alike to understand! May Allah continue to reward you and use u to shine a like in this blessed Deen (way of life) sister, ameen!”
– Umm Abdillah

“The words in this book felt like they were meant for me, speaking to me. Like a hand was reaching out for mine saying, ” It’s all going to be okay, just know that all of your struggles are not in vain”. This book has uncovered my eyes and my heart to a greater understanding of why life is full of trials and tribulations and how we can get through them. I thank you my dear Sister Yasmin for your compassionate explanation and wisdom. The poetry was even more moving. They spoke to my soul and I could relate with your words on so many levels. May Allah bless you in this life and the next and let you see His luminous light on that special occasion when all the souls of Heaven are summoned to witness what it is exactly that we are toiling for in this life and I hope to be standing with you.”

‘Reclaim your Heart’ is about the ultimate battle inside us. Our mind versus our heart. Ustazha Yasmeen makes some amazing observations that change our perspective on the subject. They are observations that we are mostly afraid to admit to ourselves even in the silence of our minds. That’s why I couldn’t read it in one go – kept pausing, reflecting and internalizing. In life we are always experiencing ups and down – spiritually and so this book aims at bringing some science to the madness and chaos inside us. Highly recommend read!

I found this book very beneficial. It provides some very valuable advice on our relationship with the Creator and the created, based on the author’s personal observations. The words are full of meaning and they flow effortlessly, making it the sort of book that you can read repeatedly. I feel the first two parts of this on attachments and love are a must read.
