Ammar Awais –
Riyad-us-Saliheen, with its conciseness and direct approach, beautifully summarises the religion of Islam. I found this book more useful than other books of Hadith for two reasons:
1) Each topic contains relevant ahadith from different collections such as Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi, etc. This caters for a wide variety of narrations for each topic. The few weak ahadith that exist have been pointed out.
2) Almost every hadith is followed by a brief commentary which makes its meaning and context very clear. The reader may have a different opinion from the commentator at times, but generally, the explanation is sufficient for the reader not to consult any external sources for understanding the ahadith. This makes the collection highly recommended for self-study.
The print quality and material are both very good.
