About the Book: The Prophet said: “Whoever performed a good sunnah in Islam will have the reward of it and the reward of those who perform it after him.” (Narrated by Imam Muslim) and he said: “Pray as you have seen me praying.” (Narrated by Bukhari and Ahmad)It is with such ahadeeth in mind that Sameh Strauch, the author, has attempted to bring to the attention of the English-speaking Muslims some of the sunan relating to prayer which, regrettably, are rarely or never performed in our time, in the hope that it will inspire the readers to revive them.

This book brings to light certain practices of the Prophet (SAAS) that have been overlooked in recent times, and, in some instances, shockingly considered prohibited by many Muslims today. These are important issues discussed here, and call for a return to the practice of the Prophet (SAAS) in matters relating to the Salat. In one or two instances, though, the reader might tend to disagree with the author. However, the reason I have rated this book five star is that the author has quoted ahadith extensively to support his points. Thus, this allows the reader to exercise their own interpretation in the light of those ahadith, and reconsider several long held notions regarding Prayer. The paper and print quality are both good, and the book — 55 pages long — can conveniently be read in a single sitting.
