About the Book: In the Sahih of Al Bukhari and Muslim, it is reported that Anas ibn Malik narrated that the Prophet said: ”Three things follow the deceased person (to the grave), two of them return, and only one remains. His family wealth and actions follow him. The family and wealth return, but his deeds will remain.”
This treatise by Ibn Rajab reminds us of what truly awaits us at the end of this world. The things that matter the most today will not matter after our last breath is taken away. Yet we fill our hearts with all kinds of pain and heartbreaks of the Dunya. I believe that if we were to take it upon ourselves to embrace the realization of the grave and beyond, we would waste less time worrying about this world and more about what is the truth. May Allah remind us about what we will really take to our grave. A beautiful translation.
