Ammar Awais –
This book analyzes the past, present, and future of the Muslims and the Jews in the light of the Quran, the Old Testament, and historical sources. It is based on Dr Israr Ahmad’s ideas published in the columns of an Urdu newspaper in 1993, and has been immaculately translated. The book briefly narrates the history of the Israelites, and compares it with that of the Muslims – the “new Ummah.” As the author points out, there are striking similarities between the histories of these two communities, as well as some contrast. The author also reflects on their future in the light of prophesies from the Hadith. I definitely found this book worth reading.
