Description from the Publisher:
A new English translation of the meanings of the Qur’an by one of the most eminent scholars of our time, Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani.

Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani had previously supervised the English translation of Ma’ariful Qur’an. But this translation and brief explanatory notes have been rewritten entirely. None of the popular English translations of the Qur’an was done by a scholar in traditional Islamic sciences. Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani, a renowned Islamic scholar who has been involved in studying and teaching Islamic sciences for more than half a century, has now filled this void.

A brief introduction of each surah has been added wherever necessary. The respected author has also added explanatory notes to facilitate understanding of the text for the common reader.

Produced in beautiful paper, printing and binding.

I ordered this book in Ramadan to begin my journey of understanding the Quran. I think this is the basic foundation for beginners to understand the Quran and hopefully motivate them to read a fuller commentary. The notes are quite helpful and the translation easy to grasp.

This is a an easy-to-read translation of the Holy Book intended for ordinary readers. Where necessary, the author has put forward explanations as well. I’d recommend this. As for as the quality of the paper and cover is concerned, it’s comparatively much better. Quite good, in fact, as Da’wah books usually are. Jazak’Allah.

I bought this book in August, and it is really helpful . سبحان الله. I was expecting it to have a bit more information about the Surahs. Nonetheless, it has really helped me improve my relationship with the Qur’an.

    Pros:
1.There are introductory paragraphs for majority of Surahs.
2.There’s plenty of empty space on each page, so you can write, add tags, and annotate easily.
3.The quality is amazing and I love the colours.
4.The commentaries are extremely simple and to-the-point. A good thing for beginners like me.
    5. The translation is very simple as well and easy to understand.
    6.The binding is great.

    Cons:
1.It has less information for anyone looking for a more detailed commentary.
2.There are no introductory paragraphs for the 30th chapter.

All in all, if you want to begin your journey towards having a more personal relationship with the Qur’an, then this book is perfect for you.

The small introductory paragraphs actually encouraged me to search more about the surahs and add whatever I could find on my own. This searching has helped me learn about the surahs more actively rather than passively reading all the facts provided.

Highly recommended for beginners who would love to begin understanding the Qur’an.
